Programs & Activities
The residents at Strawn enjoy a variety of activities that they organize them selves, such as the tenant patrol, the mini market in the activity room, bingo, trips to the grocery store and Wal-mart as well as going out to eat on Friday nights. They also organize trips with Ms. Cureton, the property manager to places such as The Bahamas, and New Orleans. They have also organized the Happy-Go-Lucky Club. Client Services has organized the Circle of Friends for the young disabled and near elderly. The Senior Nutrition Program provides hot lunches and the Department of Health provides a nurse to assist in health related issues.

Development Notes
The area surrounding Strawn is diversified. The South Boulevard edge is experiencing tremendous growth along the South End corridor. The Lance building immediately across South Boulevard was redeveloped with residential units above retail space. Residential development of both single family multifamily town homes has been active throughout the Dilworth area. The Strawn property has frontage on South Boulevard and Euclid Avenue giving it both a commercial and residential address. Its proximity to uptown the new Panther's Stadium and the new light rail system along with the explosion of growth in the South end and the I-277 loop make it an attractive site.
