Christmas To Become A Reality For 100 Deserving Children

(Free parking available at the gravel lot at 5th St. and Davidson St. across from the center)

WHY:
The Zuri Give Foundation and the Charlotte Housing Authority have partnered together to help Christmas become a reality for 100 deserving children. Families who receive assistance from the Charlotte Housing Authority earn less than $19,000 annually. The donations will assist these families with limited means by providing gifts to their children this holiday season.

The gift wrapping event is being held for sponsors to drop off donations. It is also a way for the Zuri Give Foundation and the Charlotte Housing Authority to personally thank donors who are making this holiday a reality for these children. At the festivities, individuals can drop off purchased gifts which will be wrapped on site while they enjoy food, live jazz, and fellowship.

To sponsor a child, please visit ZuriGive.org and pick a child to sponsor. If you do not have an opportunity to visit the web site, general gifts are accepted at the event as well. Event hours are from 8:00am until 10:00pm at the Carole A. Hoefener Community Services Center.

Monetary donations are accepted, too. Please mail all donations to Zuri Give Foundation at 5960 Fairview Road, Ste. 400, Charlotte, NC 28210. Monetary donations are being accepted until December 18, 2009.
