RFQ & RFP Process

The Charlotte Housing Authority occasionally issues request for qualifications (RFQ) process to update and broaden the current list of qualified developers and other vendors.
The intent of the RFQ is to establish a "pool" of qualified vendors for the various materials and services that CHA needs to conduct its daily business. The Authority may issue a RFQ without having a current business opportunity to offer.

Vendors who are interested in responding to a RFQ must register with Demand Star (www.demandstar.com) for the Charlotte Housing Authority. Registering with Demand Star will allow the vendor to receive the RFQ and any updates, notifications and bid modifications associated with the RFQ. All modifications to the RFQ will be posted on Demand Star and will not be emailed or sent via mail. The RFQ is totally electronic and will only be available at www.demandstar.com.

When CHA is ready to award business a separate request for proposal (RFP) will be issued to qualified vendors. A qualified vendor is one that has been qualified through the RFQ process. Demand Star also manages the active RFPs for CHA.
